Cement mason — Wheeler County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a cement mason in Wheeler County, Texas. Ideal candidate: • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE Your main tasks: • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
