Cnc setter-operator — Orkney Islands

Vacancy available: we are hiring a cnc setter-operator in Orkney Islands, Scotland. You will work on the CNC turning shop floor. Day-to-day duties: • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed What we are looking for: • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm Six days a week, one day off.
