Ceiling and wall plasterer — Kalawao County

Now hiring: we are hiring a ceiling and wall plasterer in Kalawao County, Hawaii. The job is on a commercial fit-out project. Day-to-day duties: • Apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork • Patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster • Float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge • Apply tanking and renovating plaster to damp walls • Apply scratch coats and key the surface for the next coat Ideal candidate: • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel • Own set of trowels, floats, hawk and buckets • Willing to work on both new build and refurbishment sites Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. $210 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
