Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in Butler County, Alabama. You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Day-to-day duties: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
