Furnace operator wanted in Fayette County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Fayette County, Illinois. The job is on the moulding line. Day to day you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
