Foundry operative — Marion County

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry operative in Marion County, Ohio. You will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Part-time with flexible hours.
