Immediate opening: we are hiring a construction helper in Ottawa County, Kansas. You will be based with a civil contractor. Day to day you will pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker; wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns. You should have: • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Physically fit and comfortable working at height Pay around $5,000 per month, based on your experience.
