Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances The role involves: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
