Vacancy available: cnc setter-operator (Alaska)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a cnc setter-operator in Yakutat City and Borough, Alaska. You will work in a precision engineering workshop. On a typical shift you will run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers; load and index turning tools in the turret; deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand. You should have: • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
