Elevator technician • Appomattox County, Virginia

Immediate opening: we are hiring an elevator technician in Appomattox County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy lift company. You should have: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards On the job you will handle: • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork 6+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $4,700 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
