Foundry worker — Miami County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry worker in Miami County, Ohio. Day-to-day duties: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity You should have: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills We offer $28 per hour plus benefits.
