Sample machinist • McCulloch County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sample machinist in McCulloch County, Texas. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. On the job you will handle: • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality You should have: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
