Vacancy available: we are hiring a hoist operator in Hardin County, Ohio. You will work at a container port and shipping yard. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Day to day you will park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Contact us to fix an interview.
