Immediate opening: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Taylor County, Iowa. Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams On a typical shift you will change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift.
