Sand plant operator — Knox County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Knox County, Illinois. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. On the job you will handle: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
