Formwork carpenter — Angus

Vacancy available: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Angus, Scotland. You will work on a residential tower site. Your main tasks: • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters What we are looking for: • Able to read formwork and structural drawings • Follows site safety, PPE and edge-protection rules Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
