Lifting rigger wanted in Dakota County

Join our team: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Dakota County, Nebraska. The job is at a container port. Day-to-day duties: • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
