We are recruiting: overlocker operator (Florida)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Miami-Dade County, Florida. You will work on a ready-made garment production line. Your main tasks: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required Ideal candidate: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Six days a week, one day off.
