The role involves: • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators Ideal candidate: • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
