Fettler — Guthrie County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in Guthrie County, Iowa. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. Day to day you will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards 5+ years on the tools preferred. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
