Backhoe operator — Douglas County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Douglas County, Wisconsin. You will be based on a pipeline and trenching crew. Requirements: • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site The role involves: • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels • Keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly • Swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up 4+ years on the tools preferred.
