Immediate opening: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Black Hawk County, Iowa. You will be based on a high-rise tower crane. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Understanding of hand and radio signals Day to day you will grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
