Now hiring: we are hiring a painter and decorator in Lake and Peninsula Borough, Alaska. The job is in a paint and spray workshop. You should have: • Comfortable working at height on ladders and scaffolding • Sound knowledge of surface prep and the right primers • Able to read colour schedules and follow a finish spec Day-to-day duties: • Apply primer, undercoat and two topcoats with brush and roller • Apply textured and weatherproof masonry coatings to exterior walls • Fill cracks and nail holes with filler and caulk the gaps • Cut in neat edges along ceilings, cornices and door frames Rotating shifts.
