Slinger signaller — Barbour County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Barbour County, Alabama. On a typical shift you will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio. What we are looking for: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
