Now hiring: we are hiring an uPVC welding machine operator in Wright County, Iowa. You will work on site fitting windows in new-build flats. What we are looking for: • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads Day to day you will clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash; fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash; wrap, label and load finished units for delivery without scratching the profile; crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame; install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter; rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router.
