Groundworker • Calhoun County, Iowa

Vacancy available: we are hiring a groundworker in Calhoun County, Iowa. You will be based on a commercial building project. You will backfill and ram down soil around the foundations; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns; carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site; hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer. What we are looking for: • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage Full-time with occasional weekends.
