Now hiring: we are hiring a safety officer in Richland County, Ohio. You will be based in a chemical processing unit. Your main tasks: • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift You should have: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites 6+ years on the tools preferred. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
