You should have: • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules You will carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off; log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards; plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load; check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels.
