Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Scott County, Illinois. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Day to day you will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand.
