Immediate opening: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Weber County, Utah. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Requirements: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Day-to-day duties: • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead 1+ years on the tools preferred.
