Immediate opening: we are hiring an ironing operator in Sarasota County, Florida. You will be based in a busy laundry. You should have: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Your main tasks: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Give each garment a final press before packing • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
