Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Jackson County, Alabama. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On the job you will handle: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Full-time, day shift.
