The role involves: • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules • Report defects and book the unit in for servicing • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load Requirements: • Confident with manual handling and load securing • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements Performance bonus on top of base pay.
