Stainless steel welder — Newcastle upon Tyne

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding On the job you will handle: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
