Restoration bricklayer wanted in Putnam County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Putnam County, Ohio. You will work at a renovation and extension job. You should have: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools The role involves: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
