Now hiring: we are hiring a furnace operator in Cumberland County, Illinois. The role involves mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Full-time, day shift.
