Excavator operator — Elmore County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an excavator operator in Elmore County, Alabama. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently The role involves work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension.
