Now hiring: we are hiring a lifting rigger in San Jacinto County, Texas. The job is on an offshore oil and gas platform. Requirements: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Day to day you will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $3,500 per month plus benefits.
