Immediate opening: we are hiring a formwork erector in Fayette County, Illinois. Day-to-day duties: • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations What we are looking for: • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
