Foundry worker • Orange County, Vermont

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry worker in Orange County, Vermont. You will work on the moulding line. The role involves: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
