Punch press operator — Onondaga County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a punch press operator in Onondaga County, New York. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred Your main tasks: • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Set up and change stamping dies and tooling • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
