Backhoe operator • Shelby County, Tennessee

We are recruiting: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Shelby County, Tennessee. You will be based at a road and highway construction project. What we are looking for: • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control The role involves: • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels • Clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient Rotating shifts. $16 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
