Foundry operative • Douglas County, Colorado

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry operative in Douglas County, Colorado. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. On a typical shift you will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry 4+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours.
