Ladle pourer — County Durham

Now hiring: we are hiring a ladle pourer in County Durham, England. You will be based on the moulding line. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts 5+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer £2,700 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
