Now hiring: we are hiring a brick mason in Whitley County, Indiana. You will be based on a new-build development. Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Day-to-day duties: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
