Demolition labourer — Macon County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a demolition labourer in Macon County, Illinois. The job is on a building construction site. Your main tasks: • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors You should have: • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain Part-time with flexible hours.
