Tig welder — Anderson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Anderson County, Tennessee. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Day to day you will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal. 4+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
