Precision welder — Orleans Parish

We are recruiting: we are hiring a precision welder in Orleans Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. On the job you will handle: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
