Vacancy available: we are hiring an overhead (EOT) crane operator in Shanono, Kano State. You will work in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. Ideal candidate: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Understanding of hand and radio signals The role involves: • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
