Now hiring: we are hiring a container truck driver in Rush County, Indiana. You will work at a busy distribution depot. The role involves: • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels • Report defects and book the unit in for servicing • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load Ideal candidate: • Valid digital tachograph card • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel • Willing to take on night and multi-day trips 4+ years on the tools preferred.
